A few years ago if you asked me what my favorite kitchen tool was I would have probably answered, the microwave or maybe even my cell phone. Once I started to be more conscious about my eating and nutrition that answer slowly started to change. Asking myself that same question today I am torn between the potato masher and the Ninja Food Processor. Looking deeper in to what I really love to eat I chose the potato masher. As much as I love a great fruit smoothie, chopped vegetables and protein bites, I really enjoy some of the foods we make with the potato masher.

As an athlete you probably spend a lot of time in the kitchen, maybe more than you’d like, I know I do. I am constantly looking for ways to save time making healthy foods that are going to satisfy me and fuel my next workout. Here are a couple links to recipes and suggestions for food that I enjoy, you may too.

Potato Bites:
These are perfect for on the bike or in a drop bag on a long run or race:
For crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside baby potatoes;

If eating with a meal they are really good with Parmesan Cheese
